GLOBALLY, THE WELLNESS INDUSTRY is worth $1.5 trillion and growing. It’s a trend that has only been amplified by the pandemic and the yachting industry is primed and ready to care for those looking for a healthy – and socially distant – luxury holiday.
M/Y Dardanella knows what the health-conscious, luxury-seeking charterer wants and it’s Tahiti!
37south Yachts has developed a series of wellness charter itineraries on board superyacht M/Y Dardanella, offering bespoke wellbeing charter itineraries in French Polynesia with a focus on physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
The concept leverages off the naturally social-distant activity of yacht charter and immerses guests in the healing powers of pristine nature.
Joining the professional yacht crew on board is Wellbeing Facilitator Ayumi Gallagher.
“Research reminds us that there is nothing as deeply soothing and healing as nature, and there is no better place to disconnect from the distractions of life and reconnect to a state of inner bliss than onboard Dardanella,” says Ayumi.
Guests can choose from detoxifying and nourishing menus, expert-guided yoga sessions, meditation, massage and handcrafted workshops to suit any level, capability and interest. Additional activities include diving, surfing, tender safaris and cultural trips ashore.
M/Y Dardanella is a 37-metre Vitters explorer yacht that has circumnavigated many remote and fascinating destinations around the globe on research expeditions, cultivating a crew with a passion for adventure and exploration.
Experienced Captain Piot Rachalewski is also a qualified marine biologist, ecologist and competitive sailor, adding extra dimensions to a charter experience.
Complete with all the modern amenities you would expect, Dardanella includes five luxury suites and has, at its beck and call, eight crew including Ayumi, two onboard dive masters and an executive chef who will prepare custom menus with an emphasis on locally sourced fare.
Is this possible in a COVID-19 environment? Yes, it is! French Polynesia is open to vaccinated travellers (see our border updates) and the yacht has already welcomed charter guests for a much-needed wellness getaway.
“As an experiential travel operator, we’re constantly looking for new ways to deliver incredible experiences and memories for our clients. Dardanella’s onboard program ushers in a new form of luxury wellness travel for guests seeking safety and adventure while also taking care of mind and body,” says Fleur Tomlinson, Charter Director at 37south.
“Essentially, the yacht is your own private island, however, there are also many uninhabited islands to explore where no restrictions are enforced and we are delighted to have welcomed several charters already.”
French Polynesia is a major drawcard for the South Pacific as international charterers are drawn to its pristine marine environment and world-renowned luxury.
Its proximity to North America and Australia and New Zealand make it a must-do destination on the Great Southern Route, and we can’t think of a better, and healthy, way to experience it than on Dardanella.
Dardanella is currently in Tahiti and will stay there until 2022.
