Pure beauty

The Australia–New Zealand bubble can’t come soon enough with awe-inspiring destinations to explore like Fiordland.

THERE AREN’T MANY PLACES like New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park. Virtually isolated and brimming with natural beauty, this World Heritage Site is a space that can only be accessed by sea or helicopter.

Rich in history and breathtaking scenery, the Fiordland National Park is a destination that hangs high on a bucket list for any of those who admire the beauty of nature in its pristine form.

Set to debut in November 2021, New Zealand-based superyacht operator Island Escape Cruises is bringing a brand-new, all-inclusive package for anyone interested in discovering this global wonder with the best that yachting can offer.

The package, which is named the Island Escape, will see 32 guests embark on an exclusive tour while being provided an in-depth service with the 14-person crew on board.

The tour will take place on a 53.4-metre yacht designed by Norwegian builder Vard with an interior designed by Sweden’s Tillberg Design.

Currently, there are three expeditions available.

Northern Fiordland

With like-minded travellers, share a world-class scenery seldom seen, complemented by a gourmet dinner and impeccable service under the stars. Experience the Fiordland National Park up close paddling on a kayak, wander through unexplored foreshores or simply take in the scenery on deck, legs up and drink in hand.

Sailings are scheduled to begin from 8 January 2022.

Southern Fiordland

Southern Fiordland contains some of the most stunning natural sights that can be found on earth. And with a vessel designed specifically for these kinds of waters and a crew to explain these wonders in detail, you’re provided with everything you need to truly appreciate this environment – regardless of whether you venture ashore or stay on board.

Sailings are scheduled to begin from 15 January 2022.

Fiordland and Stewart Island

This voyage will take you to the most remote and untouched parts of the Fiordland National Park – a magical place abundant with steep majestic fjords carved out by glaciers over thousands of years. Watch waterfalls cascade from high up on the mountains and observe the wildlife both in the air and sea.

This tour will also visit Stewart Island, also known as Rakiura, another undiscovered tourist destination. Its densely forested hills, beautiful bays and golden beaches create a picturesque landscape. Stewart Island is also a haven for the brown kiwi – a species that outnumbers humans on the island. Blue penguins and the rare, yellow-eyed penguins can also be seen waddling among the rocks.

Sailings are scheduled to begin from 25 February 2022.

Note: All three packages offer an Early Bird discount of 10 percent for those who pay in full within seven days of reservation. This discount expires 8 July 2021.
